Graduate Student Health Insurance (GSHIP)
By vote of the Associated Graduate Students, health insurance coverage is mandatory for all graduate students. The good news is that GSHIP offers our students excellent coverage! The premium for this insurance is assessed each quarter on your registration fee statement and the insurance provides year-round (12-month) coverage. If you are already covered by an approved health insurance plan through your work, a parent, or a spouse, you may apply to waive this insurance by completing a waiver form available online or by stopping by the UCI Student Health Center.
The UCI Student Health Center is a convenient primary care facility for students covered by the Graduate Student Health Insurance Plan (GSHIP).
