Oscar is a research professor in the Department of Psychology at the Universidad Metropolitana (UMET) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, studying the combat-related emotions and psychosocial health of military personnel.
Turning Passion into Policy
One of the key attractions for Tepring at UCI was the array of state-of-the-art technology available to her and her colleagues. She also cites the chance to work with Greg Hickok (http://www.talkingbrains.org/), an internationally respected neuroscientist. She describes working with Professor Hickok, a cognitive sciences professor and founding director of the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience at UCI as “an unbelievable experience.”
