How to Find Funding from $500 to $50,000
Presented by John Sisson, Research Librarian, Biological Sciences. This workshop will introduce a new electronic search tool (Community of Science – http://fundingopps.cos.com/) purchased by the UCI Libraries designed to assist UCI researchers in finding specialized funding sources.

Postdoc Follow-Up Session with Beth Riley
Presented by Beth Riley, Research Development Editor, Office of Research. This session will provide postdoctoral scholars with an exclusive opportunity to learn more about funding search engines, including IRIS and SPIN. Beth will also provide advice on how to improve your chances for securing research funding.

Presented by Diane Asitimbay, author of “What’s Up America? A Foreigner’s Guide to Understanding Americans.” This workshop will help new international graduate students and postdoctoral scholars gain an understanding of American culture.
